The Public Authority assists In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) consumers by referring homecare workers that match the consumer’s needs. A registry of qualified individuals is maintained, background checks are completed and training is offered to providers and consumers. Assistance is also available to the consumer in hiring and supervising their worker. The Public Authority provides personnel services for IHSS providers which includes the processing of payroll and employment verification.
